What program did you participate in and why?
I am apart of the STEM Star Scholars program. I applied for STEM Stars because tuition and exam materials are expensive and I found myself in need of financial support and I was enamored by the vast amount of resources offered.
How has STEM Stars impacted you?
It gave me the resources needed to pass my first actuarial exam and armed me with the knowledge to progress in my actuarial journey. I was also given the opportunity to connect with actuarial professionals.
What are your goals/dreams/aspirations?
My goals are to expand my network and as well as my knowledge on Actuarial Science. I also want to harness the program’s resources to aid in the completion examinations. My two dreams are to work at a company that values the work I do and to empower the younger generation with the strength to achieve.
What’s your best experience/memory from being a part of a TAF program?
