Adrian Parris

Adrian Parris is Vice President of Global Actuarial Modeling at MetLife, where he leads the U.S. actuarial modeling team. With more than 20 years of experience in global life and health insurance companies, he has led major finance and actuarial modeling initiatives across multiple markets. His work focuses on optimizing modeling environments and applying technology and other innovations to support critical financial and actuarial functions. He holds a Master’s degree in Actuarial Science from Heriot-Watt University and a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and Computer Programming from the University of the West Indies.

Originally from Barbados—and now based in Harlem, New York after 18 years in London and extended stints in several other countries—Adrian brings a truly global perspective to his work. His upbringing in a small island nation that guarantees high-quality, free education stands in stark contrast to many of the systems he has encountered around the world, where limited access to education remains a major barrier to opportunity. This experience fuels his passion for equity and his commitment to expanding access to math education and financial literacy.
