Betsy Dane

I have worked with The Actuarial Foundation since March 2021. A native New Yorker, and always a New Yorker at heart, my professional career began in corporate real estate lending at several major NY and international banks. While I had always volunteered for a number of non-profit and educational organizations, I decided to dedicate my professional life to the betterment of and advocacy for others through mentoring, education and the arts, and have worked with the Boys and Girls Clubs, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Sarasota Opera and Key Chorale, among other organizations, as a Grant Writer and case manager. I earned my undergraduate degree in Languages from Finch College, a Master’s degree in Historic Preservation from Columbia University and my MBA in Finance, Management and Marketing from Fordham University.

I currently live in California where I spend much of my spare time with my family, especially my two little grandsons. I love music, mysteries and movies.
