As a Program Operations Manager, I manage the two Foundation’s math contests: our middle school Hardest Math Problem (HMP) and high school Modeling the Future Challenge (MTFC) competitions. With both programs, I work closely with our volunteer, students, and teachers. I also oversee our former Expect the Unexpected With Math curriculum. On the Operations side, I am responsible for administration of program systems, which includes data and volunteer management, systems management, and administrative functions to keep all programs running smoothly behind the scenes.
Prior to the Foundation, I was a Center Director managing different private tutoring organizations, which included monitoring student progress, meeting with parents, and some SAT/ACT tutoring. Before managing tutoring organizations, I was a middle school math/science teacher and briefly worked as a Project Manager in IT for a mortgage servicing company. In addition to my current role with the Foundation, I am a Business Manager/Driving Instructor (part-time), which I have been doing for over 9 years.
I love animals, currently owning 3 dogs of my own, and regularly fostering dogs. I also enjoy good food and coffee, and finding a good show or movie to watch.
I got my Bachelors Degree from University of Illinois – Urbana Champaign in Elementary Education, and my Masters Degree from National Louis University in Educational Administration. I am also a certified PMP (Project Management Professional) through the Project Management Institute (PMI).
