As a Senior Program Specialist, I manage our middle school Hardest Math Problem and high school Modeling the Future Challenge competitions, working closely with our volunteer mentors and judges. I also manage our middle school Expect the Unexpected With Math curriculum and oversee our scholarship program.
Prior to the Foundation, I was a Center Director managing different private tutoring organizations, which included monitoring student progress, meeting with parents, and some SAT/ACT tutoring. Before managing tutoring organizations, I was a middle school math/science teacher and briefly worked as a Project Manager in IT for a mortgage servicing company. In addition to my current role with the Foundation, I teach drivers education part time.
I love animals, good food and coffee, and finding a good show or movie to watch.
I got my Bachelors Degree from University of Illinois – Urbana Champaign in Elementary Education, and my Masters Degree from National Louis University in Educational Administration.
