Celebrating 25 Years of Dedication: Honoring Laura Hogan

This January, we proudly celebrate a remarkable milestone: Laura Hogan’s 25th anniversary with The Actuarial Foundation.

Over the past 25 years, Laura has been a constant and vital force behind our mission. She has not only witnessed the Foundation’s transformation, but she has also been instrumental in shaping it. From the earliest days, when the organization operated with a staff of just two, Laura’s commitment, consistency, and heart for service have helped lay the groundwork for everything the Foundation has become.

In her own words, Laura reflects:

“As I celebrate my 25th anniversary with The Actuarial Foundation, I’m grateful for how far the organization has come since the early days, when our staff consisted of just two people with the help of committed Board members. Throughout the years, the support of our Board of Trustees, dedicated volunteers, and donors has made a tremendous impact on the success of the Foundation and has meant so much to me personally.”

Indeed, Laura has played a key role in nearly every area of our work, from transforming the scholarship process, supporting program committees, coordinating major fundraising efforts, and strengthening relationships across our community.

Among Laura’s many contributions, one that continues to resonate is her leadership in launching the Building Your Future series.

“One of my favorite memories is introducing the Building Your Future series to classrooms and students across the country,” she says. “Watching the program grow from a three-book series to four, then expand into online and downloadable resources that have reached thousands of students, has been so meaningful.”

Today, as the Foundation focuses on scholarships, competitions, and mentoring, Laura remains as passionate and dedicated as ever. She’s excited about the future, and so are we.

“I look forward to watching the Foundation grow and serve even more students in the years ahead.”

Her professionalism, institutional knowledge, and grace under pressure have strengthened the Foundation in more ways than can be counted. We are lucky to have her on the Actuarial Foundation team!
